At the Russell Law Office I currently provide legal representation as a Memphis Personal Injury Lawyer, Memphis Bankruptcy attorney, Memphis Social Security Disability Lawyer, and a Memphis Divorce Attorney. Right now my areas of practice include Consumer Bankruptcy, family and custody law, personal injury including medical malpractice and nursing home neglect, and Social Security disability.

When I started this practice, my goal was to provide aggressive (but caring) legal services to those who need them. Originally I focused first on family and divorce litigation but, after several years went by, I found that the adversarial nature of litigation wasn’t as emotionally rewarding for my clients or for myself as I had hoped it could be.

To be of better service to my clients, I went through the training necessary to become a family law mediator and became listed as a Rule 31 Family Law Mediator and refocused my practice on non-litigation practices of law. My practice is also associated with a focus on Social Security Disability Law.

In addition to disability and family legal services, my practice also most extensively with people considering declaring consumer bankruptcy.

Consumer Bankruptcy

Believe it or not, filing for bankruptcy can be the first step to taking back control of your life. It is one of the most powerful and effective legal actions available to you. Rule 31 Family Law and Divorce Mediation

Tennessee requires that parents undergo mediation before litigating child custody issues. Tennessee’s Supreme Court requires that a mediator must be listed under Rule 31 to be recognized as a court appointed mediator. I am a Rule 31 listed mediator. I have extensive experience in divorce law and am well versed in the current issues and legislation. I encourage to contact me today to if you need help resolving your divorce or child custody case.

Small Business and Appellate Work

Advising and helping small businesses grow has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my practice of law. I can help you with matters including incorporation, contract drafting and regulatory compliance issues. I also greatly enjoy appellate practice. One of the most rewarding cases in the history of my practice was In Re Angela E. et. Al., (Tenn. 2010), where I was appellate counsel and ultimately achieved a reversal of both the trial court and the Tennessee Court of Appeals’ rulings.
