Visitation and Parenting Time

Unlike child custody specific visitation has become easier to change with an increasing awareness of the need for children to know and appreciate both parents.

The first thing to do is ask for a specific order. Doing things by consent is always the cheaper than litigation. The next thing to do is be reasonable and adhere to what is actually happening if the reason for the change is to comply with actual visitation. Asking courts for additional visitation to save on child support is transparent and won’t help you in the long run. Visitation litigation can be much cheaper then custody because its not a complete bet the children. Experts, discovery, and all that can be avoided because a certain basic level of visitation will almost always be granted except in the case of domestic violence.
